We are steaming ahead to deliver phase two of the AMETI Eastern Busway - Panmure to Pakuranga project. This is a highly complex program of works delivering better public transport to East Auckland.  It requires intricate traffic management plans and logistical management to minimise impact to the travelling public.  With a value in excess of $100m, this two year project involves the delivery of the second section of the busway, upgrading the Panmure roundabout and building a new busway bridge across the Tamaki River with a wide shared path for cyclists and pedestrians alongside the existing road bridge.

We are keen add to our existing team and immediately require a Site Engineer to join our awesome team on Zone 3.

You’ll have experience in the heavy civil space and ideally worked with utilities, drainage and pavements. Reporting through to a Project Engineer, you will support day-to-day operations, providing support to the team on the ground.  This is a busy role where your ability to build and maintain effective relationships with sub-contractors and manage site construction activities is essential. As a strong team player, you have the ability to think on the spot and be solutions focused.  Your eye for detail, planning, organisational and communication skills will help you to step into the role and make it your own.  You will have 1-3 years’ experience in civil projects, a qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and knowledge of New Zealand standards.

The Candidate

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ongoing daily interaction with the client and consultants
  • Organising and executing technical matters including building to the plans, material requisitioning, plant requirements and safety
  • Ensuring quality control
  • General site operations and administrative duties
  • Communicating technical information effectively between stakeholder groups including various engineering, technical, construction, operations and project groups
