Leading Hand - Commercial Paving

You will be a key member in our commercial paving crew, working on a variety of asphalting projects around the Auckland region. The role will be to assist the Foreman on running the day-to-day works including completing QA documentation and running pre-start meetings’. Other duties will include:
- Laying and compacting asphalt;
- Assisting the Forman in leading our crew;
- Help drive high production and quality within the team.
No day will be the same! Your experience operating a wide range of equipment including pavers, rollers and milling machines along with assisting to run a crew, will be essential in this position.
This role will be a minimum of 40 hours per week and, we are looking for candidates who are able to work night shifts as and when required. We offer time and a half after 40 hours and all PPE is supplied.
The successful candidate will also have the following attributes:
- Class 2 licence and WTR endorsements advantageous but not essential;
- In-depth knowledge and experience laying asphalt;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Be approachable and possess good leadership qualities;
- Be physically fit;
- A “quality from start to finish” attitude towards work.
