About the role

We are looking to appoint a dynamic financially astute Regional Finance Manager to join our Eastern Region Senior Leadership Team overseeing our NSW construction business. Reporting to the Regional General Manager the position is responsible for the financial management of the region in accordance with the company’s policies, legislative requirements and within budgetary constraints. The role is based in Alexandria with a focus on supporting the Projects within the region

  Your key accountabilities in this position include the following:

  • Preparation of all monthly management accounts and quarterly re-forecasts
  • Manage the regions cash flow reporting with a focus on optimising positive cash flows
  • Ensure that the regions statutory reporting and annual audit requirements are met
  • Manage the regions annual business planning and budgeting processes
  • Balance sheet control including ensuring all the balance sheet reconciliations are completed
  • Ensure the effective and timely setup of each projects financial reporting structure, including the WBS and onsite payment processes
  • Work with the onsite project teams and regional operational management to ensure each project reported margin outcomes are reliably estimated
  • Provide strong leadership and build a team-based high-performance culture, which focuses on service quality, sharing knowledge and continuous improvement

What you will need

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications within Accounting & Finance
  • CA/CPA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Experience within a construction, infrastructure or engineering company with onsite project experience highly regarded
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and develop strong working relationships
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated leadership experience
  • A hands-on work ethic with an eye for the detail
  • Experience and proficiency in JDE along with a solid contractual background is desirable although not essential for this position
