Fulton Hogan is proud to be working with our Alliance partners, NZTA, HEB, Jacobs, Opus, Gaia and Isthmus delivering the Northern Corridor Improvements (NCI) project.  NCI will provide better links for Northern Motorway (SH1) travellers in Auckland, improving transport options on the North Shore for freight, cars, pedestrians and cyclists. 

As a Project Engineer your role will be to plan, resource and coordinate the delivery of a section of this project from end to end, and ensure we achieve and exceed targets regarding safety standards, quality standards, budgets, programme and the project objectives. 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer in the heavy civil space to join our successful team on our project. Reporting through to the Zone Manager, you will support day-to-day operations, troubleshooting as and when required, whilst providing leadership and mentoring to our team of competent and experienced Engineers and Subcontractors.

You will have proven experience delivering quality projects and be passionate about heavy civil/structures projects. You will be ambitious and motivated to progress your career within the civil space. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or other relevant tertiary education, and knowledge of New Zealand standards
  • Significant project experience in heavy civil
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage great relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • A passion to succeed in business with a strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent leadership and mentorship qualities
