We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Lead for our Brisbane based Utilities business performing a 5 year Queensland Urban Utilities (QUU) Capital Works Programme.
You will be responsible for reinforcing the HSEQ strategy across the six metropolitan waste water treatment sites as well as ensuring compliance with client and company health, safety, environment and quality standards for the program of works.
You will also be tasked with providing leadership, risk management across the program life cycle, training, incident and emergency management, quality control assurance, identifying trends, preparing reports and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
The role will expand into a larger functional team as the program of works ramps up in 2019.
This role will suit someone who has a genuine passion to develop a culture of HSEQ best practice through clear accountabilities and simple effective systems.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
To be a success in this role your experience will be gained from within other top or mid-tier contractors that deliver either construction or engineering maintenance projects. Ideally you will be Tertiary Qualified in a related discipline, hold a relevant Lead Auditing Qualification and be an expert in accredited HSEQ systems.
- Relevant Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety/Quality
- Relevant experience in the construction industry
- Preferably ICAM lead investigator
- Cert IV in Training and Assessor
- Ability to function unsupervised, working to tight deadlines
- Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite in particular Word and Excel
- Proven ability to lead, engage, coach and foster relationships at all levels of an organisation
